Giftsy’s mission is to reutilize and create value for our users’ second-hand clothing, deepen human connections, conserve natural and financial resources, and contribute to solving global environmental challenges.

Giftsy is an online community marketplace that connects people so they can exchange and gift pre-loved clothing. It is akin to bringing the “barter” system back with a modern, technological twist. If a person would rather gift a clothing item to another person, they can do that on Giftsy. In doing so, they have the experience of sharing, generosity and being kind to others. The Giftsy users wishing to receive the item as a gift send requests to the Giftsy user giving the gift, explaining why they want the item and perhaps how they will use it. The person giving the gift then gifts the clothing item to the recipient of their choice. The function seems simple but it is deeply rooted in psychology and an understanding of human behavioral needs.
